The Vampire Diaries airs a new episode tonight, March 19, called A Bird in a Gilded Cage, which will focus a lot on Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan's (Paul Wesley) mother Lily (Annie Wersching).

ETOnline revealed a new  clip from the episode on Tuesday, which can be viewed below.

In the clip, Damon shares his brilliant plan to get Stefan and Caroline Forbes' (Candice Accola) humanity back on.

Damon is with Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) in the clip and she is yelling at him for bringing Kai (Chris Wood) around her given their less than stellar past.

"I hate Kai," Bonnie declares, while adding, "And you that and the first thing you did when I got back was throw him in my face to fake apologize."

Damon then defends himself, which prompts Bonnie to bite back again.

He then dives into his plan to save his brother and Caroline.

"Bonnie, we need Kai to get to 1903 and we need Bennett blood to do the damn spell," he shares.

"Listen, we go in, we grab my mom, she flips Stefan's switch," Damon says as he snaps his fingers.

"He triggers Caroline," Damon adds, before continuing with, "Emotional dominoes. Yay! Everybody wins!"

Bonnie then says to him, "If I give you my blood will you just get out of my face?"

"Probably," Damon replies, adding, "Although, I think you're going to want to join us. Stick with me Bonnie Bennett. I might just have the answer to all your prayers."
