"Damon, what are you doing?" she asks him.

"Looking for a healthy outlet for my rage," he responds as he takes a hack at a lamp, while adding, "I haven't found it yet."

Executive producers Caroline Dries and Julie Plec are shown and they divulge like the other episode titles from this season, this one is not referencing a song from 1994.

This episode's title references a song from 1903, which happens to be the year of the prison world that Bonnie Bennett (Kat Graham) escaped from and where she caught a glimpse of Lily.

"This is our first title that tells us there's a mystery set in 1903 that our heroes need to solve," Plec commented.

A clip is shown of Elena's shock from Damon sharing his mother is in fact alive when he thought she died when he was 21.

"She's a ripper, Elena," Damon tells Elena as her excitement continues to grow over emphasizing that Lily is alive.

"It's really an episode about Damon trying to reunite with his mom, who he's believed to have been dead from consumption," Plec shared.

Elena and Damon are shown in a clip in 1903 with Lily.
