The news of where MTV series Eye Candy currently stands still remains a mystery although fans can sign a petition to help bring the show back for a second season.

The online petition mentions how the thriller starring Victoria Justice deserves to be renewed for new episodes since it "keeps the audience wanting more."

There are currently more than 7,600 signatures with a goal at 10,000.

Even though a number of signatures doesn't create any guarantees, it does spark up some hope if the network takes notice to the high amount of supporters.

If the series does return for new episodes, there are a lot of answers that need explaining- this includes where the Tommy-Lindy romance lies and what the deal is with Sara's staged kidnapping.

According to executive producer Christian Taylor, a certain member of Lindy's family will be connected to with the Sara twist and that odd phrase "Lindy will be safe."

"There's going to be a big conspiracy that we'll explore next season about why her sister did that," Taylor told TV Line. "And I'll say one thing: it will be linked to their father."

The producer also dished on going into Jake's backstory after discovering that he turned out to be the Flirtual Killer that Lindy was searching for.

"Well, I think sympathizing with a mass murderer is a hard thing to do," Taylor explained. "So I wasn't trying to do that, but I wanted the backstory to maybe give a little insight into the mind of a psycho and to show what triggers him. That was the reason for going into his past."
