An April Fools joke surfaced on Tuesday saying that ABC will reignite Lost with a new spin-off.

The acclaimed JJ Abrams series had viewers heads spinning for six-seasons of deserted island mayhem, and got their hopes up that they would get to see the story pickup in the bogus titled Lost: Dr. Linus, according to a prank post on Spoiler TV.

The fake out claimed that the program would air in the fall of 2016, the spin-off would be executive produced by Elizabeth Sarnoff (Lost, Alcatraz). To top that off, the new show was said to be utilizing the world created in the season 6 flash sideways, also known as the "purgatory universe," and potentially include such fan favorite characters as Tania Raymonde (Alex Rousseau), Daniel Roebuck (Dr. Leslie Artz), William Atherton (Principal Don Reynolds), and Michael Emerson.

Lost began in 2004 when Oceanic flight 815 crashed, stranding its surviving passengers on a remote deserted island. The series then came to a conclusion in 2010's "The End," a series finale that sparked - and continues to fuel - widespread debate amongst the fandom.

[Ed. Note: Yes, we at Enstars totally fell for this April Fool's prank and originally wrote this up as actual news...because we loved 'Lost' and to joke about an awesome possible sequel series just seems cruel. Also, we forgot what day it was. We've since changed the post to relect that this was all some jerk's idea of joke.]
