On the heels of reports that Hart of Dixie has seen its last days, actress Jaime King, who plays Lemon Breeland, said there's still hope for the show.

King spilled the latest update to E! News Friday. She began by shutting down speculation that the show was heading for cancellation because viewers weren't tuning in. She revealed that it had more to do with Bilson's surprise pregnancy.

"It's a tricky situation because it really isn't about ratings for us. It's not like a ratings issue it was more of a timing issue. Rachel Bilson got pregnant and wanted to take maternity leave. Every woman has a right to do that. I think that everything has an imp at on the way things are decided upon. It's very interesting because our fans are so devoted."

'Hart Of Dixie' Stars Still Unsure If Show Is Returning 'I Wish They Would Let Us Know'

She added that even though they stopped taping for the show months ago, she's still in Lemon Breeland mode and has an itch to get back on the set.

"It's really interesting, because when my son wakes up in the middle of the night, immediately I'm like, 'Oh! It's time for me to get to set!' It makes me want to cry because I love this show so much. It's still a success. It's really whatever the universe has in store. Either way, it's been such a gift."

Interestingly enough, King just announced her second pregnancy herself recently. It's not clear if there's a chance the show will return sans Bilson. Keep up with Enstars for updates and news.
