X Factor New Zealand is down to its final four contestants where they all had plenty to say about what the journey has been like.

'X Factor New Zealand' Controversy Chatter

On Saturday, Stuff posted an interview with Nyssa Collins, Stevie Tonks, Brendon Thomas and Beau Monga who all remain in the competition. Collins opened up on how strange it feels for her to be the only female left as well as how things started off before.

"It was a really strong top 13 actually, and it could have been anyone's game," she said. "Being top four, and being the only girl- it's weird."

'X Factor New Zealand' Judge Dishes On Joining The Series

The final four have been through a lot whether it was positive or negative.

"You go everything together, see everyone's highs and lows," Tonks revealed.

"We're like amateurs coming into a professional limelight," he added. "We've all just come from amateur backgrounds, and we're chucked in front for the whole country to judge us and critique us."

The performers have been through a lot of challenges as the show went on, and one of them pointed out that they're in it to own it.

"You're like: 'This is what I'm living to do, I'm going to actually kill it.' You know?" Thomas said. "There's no other option."

Monga added, "You've got to think quick. You don't have much time, you've got to learn how to swim. No floaties."

X Factor New Zealand airs on Sundays and Mondays on TV3.
