They were the last couple standing on season 26 of The Amazing Race, but a series of unfortunate troubles with their cab pretty much sealed Mike and Rochelle's fate when they arrived in Dallas for their final leg.

In their post-race interview with TV Guide, team #TruckStopLove revealed that they had more cab troubles then anyone realized while watching the final episode--and they're pretty sure that was what finally did them in.

"First off, we held the cab as he was dropping us off [at AT&T Stadium], I asked him to wait for us and he said, "No, I can't do that.' I let him know the situation and then I asked him if he could at least call his cab company and have them send another cab," Rochelle explained. "He said, 'No, I can't do that.' He just absolutely would not help us at all. So after he dropped us off, we were left to ourselves."

Then after the two found a new cab, their struggles continued after that driver first ran out of gas, then followed that up with getting extremely lost on the way to the next destination, a dude ranch.

"He didn't follow the directions at all. There was one point where some lady physically drew a map with the train tracks and gas station, and Rochelle's like, 'This is where we're going,' and he's like, 'Yup.' And he went thre complete opposite way," Mike said.,

"We seriously stopped and knocked on people's houses. It took a long time," Rochelle added.

And of course, their cab troubles prevented the couple from doing the one task they would have perhaps loved the most--driving monster trucks across a mud pit to do their final memory challenge.

"I wanted to drive the monster trucks!" Mike said.

However, they do admit that they were shocked to learn they were the last pre-existing couple during the race--something they never expected would happen.

"I thought that was really cool," Mike said. "I did not expect thar. Going into the race, we just didn't wanna get eliminated first. We got through that and the next milestone was first place on the third leg, which was huge. Beyond that, we just didn't wanna get eliminated and suddenly the Olympians were eliminated. That was a huge surprise. Then it was narrowing down...and suddenly we were in the final four."
