The new season of Netflix's Orange Is the New Black may feature a bit of a love triangle between Piper (Taylor Schilling), Alex (Laura Prepon) and a new inmate.

Prepon recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about new prisoner Stella Carlin (Ruby Rose) and how she complicates matters in the Litchfield prison.

"There's definitely a love interest, and she comes in a package of a hot, tattooed Ruby Rose," Prepon said. "She definitely shakes things up."

There has been some indication leading up to the season 3 release that Stella and Piper might have something going on. Stella gives Piper a flirty look in the official season 3 trailer, plus a new sneak peek shows her outright flirting with her.

It will be fun to see what becomes of this love triangle as Piper and Alex potentially fight for Stella's attention.

Meanwhile, Sophia (Laverne Cox) is going to have a significant storyline in season 3 as well. Cox spoke with TVLine this week about how things will "heat up more in the second part" of season 3. She noted, "The first six episodes are hints of things to come."

There was a hint of something significant happening to Sophia from the season 3 trailer, which shows her potentially getting in a fight with Gloria (Selenis Leyva).

All in all, season 3 of the Netflix dramedy is shaping up to be another fun season in the show's run.

Orange Is the New Black season 3 is scheduled for release on Friday, June 12 on Netflix. All 13 episodes are set to be released at once.
