Bobbi Kristina Brown and Nick Gordon have had quite a controversial relationship and a new book that has been making headlines claims that Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown’s daughter was actually scared of her longtime boyfriend.

Ian Halperin penned the book Whitney & Bobbi Kristina: The Deadly Price of Fame, which reveals some of the most terrifying times of the mother and daughter duo.

While it is an unauthorized biography, it has received lots of attention after it made claims that Bobbi Kristina had a struggle with drug addiction when she was only 14 years old. It also said she attempted to assault her mom and was “suicidal.”

In the latest snippet of the book that has been released, Halperin wrote that Bobbi Kristina might not be as head over heels for Gordon as she seemed.

One friend, Rasheed, told Halperin, ”He acted as if he owned Bobbi. He had her brainwashed…Nick always got his way. She was afraid of him.”

Another friend, Ella, added, “I felt sad because I don’t think Nick (Gordon) had her best interests at heart.

Ella also said that she was concerned with Bobbi Kristina’s drug habits.

“When I saw her before her accident she looked like she was on something. She looked like she got much thinner, looked like she was into heavy drugs.”

A third friend DJ also opened up about his concern of Bobbi Kristina and Gordon’s relationship and added, “Nick is bad, bad news brother. He’s heavy into drinking, heavy into drugs…I assure you it was Nick who took her down a dark path.”

Bobbi Kristina is in a rehab treatment facility after being found unresponsive in her bathtub in late January. If the excerpt from the book is true, it certainly explains why Bobbi Kristina’s family has banned Gordon from seeing her as she recovers.
