For fans going through Empire withdrawls, the show’s creator Lee Daniels have given us a first look at what’s going on behind-the-scenes as they tape the new season!

‘Empire’ Season 2 Drama ‘Will Blow Away The Audience’ As Chris Rock & Alicia Keys Make Appearances

He shared a video Monday night of actor Terrence Howard who plays the now infamous Lucious Lyon along with Chris Rock. While not much has been said about the sophomore season, it looks like Rock will be playing one of Lucious’ prison mates. Lucious was taken to jail after getting caught for the murder of his childhood friend (and cousin of his ex-wife Cookie) Bunkie.

In the Instagram clip, Daniels wraps his arms around Rock and Howard and asks the Death At A Funeral actor what he thinks about his first day on set.

Rock answers, “My first day was incredible. Worked with the great Terrence Howard, the great Lee Daniels.”

Howard reveals that things got a little physical on the set.

“Terrence punched him in the stomach on accident,” he says about Rock. Rock then jokes that it might have actually been on purpose.

“He does have a reputation.”

Take a look.

Daniels also served up a little more eye candy and posted a photo of two of Lucious’ other fellow inmates.

Just moments before he revealed other snapshots from that day of filming.

Interestingly enough he added background music of Akon’s hit "Locked Up."

Empire is slated to return for Fox on Sept. 23. Keep up with Enstars for more cast news and spoilers!
