When it comes to the controversial fitness fad Crossfit, not every celebrity out there is a fan. Chart topper Nick Jonas slammed Crossfit's CEO Greg Glassman for making an insensitive joke about diabetes on his Twitter account on Tuesday.

When Glassman tweeted a picture of a Coca Cola bottle along with the tagline "Open Diabestes" and the caption, "Make sure you pour some out for your dead homies," Nick was none too happy with the off-colored joke.

Many of his Twitter followers commented with, "THANK YOU NICK. Type 1 and Type 2 are very, very different. Please learn that before making judgments!" along with, "As if crossfit didn't have a pathetic enough reputation already."

Instead of apologizing, the fitness company tweeted, "Sugar linked to diabetes with 'same level of confidence that linked cigarettes and lung cancer in the 1960s' - @bittman." CrossFit then lashed back at the pop star, writing, "Anyone can get T2 diabetes, even those with T1. Stop assuming we don't grasp the difference and help us raise awareness. @nickjonas."

The company also added that Type 2 diabetes "can be caused by sugar consumption."

Jonas himself was diagnosed with Type-One diabetes when he was just 13 and has been very vocal about bringing public awareness to the illness.
