In a Group G Champions League football match, FC Barcelona (3-0-1) will take on Spartak Moscow (1-0-3) at Luzhniki Stadium. Both of the clubs are coming off tough losses in their previous games.

After pulling out three straight group victories, first place Barcelona came up short against Celtic in a 2-1 defeat on Nov. 7.  The loss prevented the squad from clinching the group and brought Celtic within two points of the respective leaders.

Spartak Moscow was recently defeated by Benfica, which has them sitting at the very bottom of the Group G table. In order for the club to remain relevant, they must win their final two group matchups. However, that still won't guarantee them of anything.

In the first group meeting between the two sides on Sept. 19, Spartak Moscow caught Barcelona off guard by jumping ahead by a 2-1 margin. However, Lionel Messi then reignited the Catalan Giants by scoring two late-game goals to nail down the victory for Barcelona.

Spartak Moscow skipper Unai Emery is winless in 14 fixtures against Barcelona. To top it off, the team is also facing a slew of injuries with 10 of their key players missing, which includes three of their goalkeepers.

Goalies aside, Spartak Moscow will be without the services of Artem Dzyuba, Sergei Parshivlyuk, Dinar Bilyaletdinov, Aiden McGeady, Welliton and Romulo.

The Red-Whites will look for leading goal scorer Emmanuel Emenike to lead the club upfront. The 25-year-old has six goals in 14 games. However, Emenike has failed to hit the back of the net in over a month and a half. For Spartak Moscow to stand a chance at pulling out an upset, the striker must play up to his capabilities.
