Malaga will aim to maintain its foothold atop Group C when they take on Zenit St. Petersburg in a Champions League match on Wednesday.

The underdog Zenit, who currently sits in fourth place in the table, will look to pull out an upset against the heavily-favored Malaga football club.

Skipper Luciano Spalletti has been vocal to his players about focusing on the game against Malaga, after a Russian Premier League game versus Dynamo Moscow was abandoned when a flare thrown by a Zenit fan struck the opposition's goalkeeper, Anton Shunin. Dynamo led Zenit by a 1-0 margin when the incident occurred.

Spalletti's call on his players was echoed by midfielder Miguel Danny, according to 7M Sports.

"We have to think about Malaga, and concentrate only on them. I think we're completely ready for the match, and we'll go out there to get a result. That's the most important thing for us," Danny said. "They're a strong team, and their play, naturally, won't allow anyone to take it easy, since both sides are going to go out only to win."

Danny doesn't feel it would do his side any good to fret over the outcome of Group C's other game, Anderlecht versus AC Milan in Belgium.

"We talk about stuff like that in the locker room of course, but the important thing for us is to win. Clearly, if we win both matches, and Milan beat Anderlecht, we have a chance to advance from our group," he stated.
