Did Meghan Markle intentionally wear layers and layers of clothes during her and Prince Harry's New York trip a few weeks ago?

Not only that, but she has been spotted in thick and oversized clothes despite it being scorching on her four-day trip.

But now, it seems like there's a reason for her chosen ensembles at that time.

According to a report by the National Enquirer, critics were left with mouths open after seeing the Duchess of Sussex wrapped in layers of clothing.

The reason behind it is reportedly to hide the 30 pounds she gained during her pregnancy with Lilibet Diana, and it's the kind of weight she is reportedly having difficulties losing.

Though it has been four months already since she gave birth, it was revealed that Meghan reportedly couldn't go back to her usual 112-pound bodyweight.

A source revealed to the publication, "Why she packed a winter wardrobe is a mystery."

They were invited to the city for a different reason, but they decided to hit two birds with one stone by filming for their upcoming Netflix documentary.

"Both Harry and Meghan were spotted hiding microphone wires under their clothing, likely secretly recording content for a documentary as part of their $100 million Netflix deal."

They went on to say, "But Meghan could have done that with any outfit."

They also alleged that it seemed like she just wanted to hide her weight by wearing bulky and out-of-season ensembles. However, it reportedly just brought the negative attention she doesn't need.

The source suggested, "If she'd worn body-sculpting shapewear like all Hollywood stars do, she could have kept her baby bump struggle secret."

When Meghan Markle was pregnant, the outlet also said that she had gained over 170 pounds.

After the birth of Lili, she was only able to lose 30 pounds and couldn't get rid of the other 30 pounds she had gained before.

According to research journals, it is expected that women gain about 25 to 35 pounds during pregnancy. But in the first three months after giving birth and breastfeeding, many women may experience already losing the weight they gained or even gaining more weight.

This may be due to the increased calorie needs and intake and the lack of physical activity during lactation.

About 43% of moms have a more challenging time getting rid of their added weight after their second pregnancy.

It is reportedly not the metabolism that slows down in the postpartum months.
