Official news is in about the finale scene of The Good Wife in which Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Kalinda (Archie Panjabi) sort of seek closure.

Will Peter Run For President In Season 7?

The scene was rumored to have been doctored, and conflated two bits, shot separately. In the scene Alicia and Kalinda are sharing shots at the bar, and rewinding to the good old days when they were still friends, hoping they could have done things differently. The fact that both actresses are not actually present in the scene together is quite evident but there had been no official word about it.

A new TVLine report reveals that the scene was indeed shot separately with the two actresses. TVLine writer, Michael Ausselio also commented on how he thought this was very unfair and has certainly left fans of the show like himself disappointed.

Season 7 To Conclude CBS Legal Drama?

TVGuide's Joyce Eng brought the scene to people's notice stating that she was almost dead sure that the two actresses weren't physically present for it, and at best they might have only shared a few seconds of each others' company. Eng claims that it was clearly visible as the actresses lacked any real engagement.

Gawker went on to connect this to an alleged rivarly between Panjabi and Margulies behind-the-scenes which was even reported by the Washington Post. This is also evidenced by the fact that a rift was created between the two on the show as well, and they hadn't shared a scene together in a span of two years. Their only interactions on screen took place over the phone.

Alicia And Peter's Public Image Will Be Threatened In The Finale

The producers and PR for the show have done a great job of keeping the feud under wraps through this entire period, but that botched scene that was meant to represent closure between Kalinda and Alicia has definitely exposed a whole lot and also explains what went on through the last two seasons.

While talking about her last day of filming and saying goodbyes, Panjabi suggested that she did it in true Kalinda style in an interview with the BBC.

"Everybody was a little sad," she said. "We had tequilas and we all celebrated and then I got up on the bar in my boots and thanked everybody."

"And then I just walked out."

The finale, entitled 'Wanna Partner?' aired on CBS on May 10.
