It was recently revealed that the CBS legal drama has been renewed for a seventh season. EIOnline speculated if this will be the last season or if there will be more to come. The publication asked show's co-creator Robert King this crucial question but King didn't have a definite answer. "Can we leave that unanswered for the moment? I think all will become clear very, very soon," he said.

The publication also sourced another hint from actor Matt Czuchry, who plays Cary, dishing about his contract for the series. Czuchry told E!Online that he had signed on for two more chapters but that did not necessarily mean that there would be an eighth season.

"It's been such an amazing run that I'm kind of at peace now with whatever happens...I signed a contract at the end of season six for seasons seven and eight, so I made peace with the fact it may go longer and that would be OK," Czuchry said. "If it were to end with season seven, that would be OK too. I've kind of made peace with all of that. That really just comes with the fact-[we've done] well over 100 episodes and six seasons and the kind of success we've been fortunate to have is extremely, extremely rare. I'm incredibly grateful for this job and how rare that is, so whenever it may end I'm at peace with that."

Nina Tassler, the president of CBS Entertainment, added that the show has the network's full support for as long as the creators, Michelle and Robert King, wanted to write it.

"They are visionaries, they're inspired," she said. "As long as they want to continue producing and writing, we love having that show on our air and are very proud of it."

The season 6 finale, entitled 'Wanna Partner?' aired on CBS on May 10.
