Selena Gomez attended a fashion show Wednesday in New York City during which protesters came up to the singer/actress and slammed her for supporting the fashion line.

The former Disney star sat front row at the first-ever fashion show for the streetwear label NEO by Adidas, which she serves as a brand ambassador of. The 20-year-old was enjoying the show of swim and beach styles coming down the runway when an uninvited woman in a T-shirt and hooded sweatshirt handed Gomez and other guests a flyer, according to Us Weekly. A second woman was nearby also distributing the papers.

Claiming that Adidas is involved in "sweatshop" labor to make their products, the flyer read "Selena Gomez: Be an ambassador for children, not for sweatshop." Gomez was shocked by the protestor and the flyer, according to an eyewitness, and the protestor was then escorted out of the venue by security.

Gomez did not comment on the incident, and at the end of the show she thanked audience for attending and also acknowledged the designers. She was dressed in black pants, Adidas sneakers with pink stripes, and a grey and pink sweatshirt. The show premiered the first collection in Gomez's collaboration with the NEO label. Teenager bloggers styled the outfits instead of industry professionals, according to Newsday.

"I'm so excited to be a part of this and so excited to see what you guys did with it, you did an amazing job!" she said to the designers. She later tweeted, "Amazing show for @adidasNEOLabel tonight!! They looked amazing.#NEOrunwa :)))"
