Candice Glover wowed the judges when she performed "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" by Marvin Gaye for Motown Week of American Idol Season 12 Top 8 show Wednesday night under the mentorship of legendary singer Smokey Robinson.

Glover, 23, who is among the three most voted singers on the show, received praises from Robinson, the judges and the audience.

"You raised the bar exponentially," judge Keith Urban told Glover. "This was your best performance tonight baby," he added.

"You've got one of the best voices this year in the competition...just crazy good," judge Randy Jackson said.

"I thought it was excellent," Mariah Carey said.
