The Legends of Tomorrow have a choice to make - to save the world, Rip's crew will have to decide exactly how much they're willing to risk.

When the Legends first hopped board the Waverider, those that were conscious thought tracking down and crossing off Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) would be a hop, skip, and a jump. Now that they know better, the time travelers will return to 2016 to take stock of their lives during the season finale, "Legendary."

"After the numerous sacrifices the team has made since the beginning of this ride, Rip (Arthur Darvill) decides that it's time they each decide their own destiny and returns them to Central City a few months after they first left," The CW teased. "Returned to their normal lives, each team member must individually decide if they are willing to sacrifice everything in order to save the world."

While Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Firestorm (Victor Garber and Franz Drameh), Kendra (Ciara Renée), and the Atom (Brandon Routh) will presumably return to life as normal, the White Canary (Caity Lotz) will be in for a devastating shock. Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthrone) will meet up with his daughter once more, this time to inform her of her sister's Arrow death. The scene will be heartbreaking for all involved.

"Initially, Lance is reaching out to Sara to tell her, but he can't get a hold of her, and in my mind, I was thinking, "You know what, in some ways, Lance is kind of glad he can't get a hold of her at the moment because the longer she doesn't know, the longer she doesn't know,'" Blackthorne told IGN. "But then...there is a moment where Sara pops up and suddenly Lance is confronted with the idea of having to tell her that her sister is dead."

When the finale is over and Savage's fate is revealed, a brand new adventure will await those Legends who choose to continue on.

"We always meant to leave it all on the field and burn all of our bridges so Season 2 would effectively have to be a totally new premise and a totally new setup," showrunner Phil Klemmer told TV Guide. "So yeah, we're really burning it down with our finale."

In the meantime, catch Rip's crew in "River of Time" and "Destiny." Legends of Tomorrow airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
