Beyonce #BeyHereNow Announcement: "Mirrors" MUSIC VIDEO Previews in Pepsi Ad Before April 8 Debut [WATCH]
Beyonce Knowles posted a five-second video on her YouTube channel on Wednesday that a special announcement would take place on April 4 at 9:00 a.m., and on Thursday, the Love on Top singer released a new video, Mirrors in a commercial with Pepsi.
"The global partnership is the next iteration of Pepsi's "Live for Now" brand spirit, which encourages fans to embrace the NOW and be at the epicenter of, and helping to define, pop culture - a mindset shared by both Beyoncé and Pepsi," according to Knowles' official website.
On the site, there is a one minute youtube clip, entitled Mirrors, claimed to be one of the first creative collaboration elements of the partnership with Pepsi. The video shows Knowles most memorable personalities from career - including "Bootylicious" Beyoncé, "Sasha Fierce" and "Crazy in Love" Beyoncé. The three personalities go head-to-head in a dance-off in a mirrored studio.
"There isn't an artist that embodies what it means to "Live for Now" more than Beyoncé. She is a true trendsetter and is at the epicenter of pop culture today, and we couldn't have asked for a better creative partner to bring our shared visions to life," Brad Jakeman, President, Pepsi Global Beverages Group said.
The video was shot in New Jersey and was directed by Jake Nava who helped with Knowles' hit song, Crazy In Love.
Pre-announcement speculation had many fans thinking if the singer would reveal information about an upcoming album.
"We all have special numbers in our lives, and 4 is that for me," she said in an interview with Billboard. "It's the day I was born. My mother's birthday, and a lot of my friends' birthdays, are on the fourth; April 4 is my wedding date."
The track will debut in full and be released to iTunes on Monday, April 8.
