Their romance has been completely back on track ever since they survived Andre's (Thaao Penghlis) attempt to kill them both, but Rafe (Galen Gering) could get devastating news about his relationship with Hope (Kristian Alfonso) now on Days of Our Lives.

They've both been nervous ever since Aiden (Daniel Cosgrove) became the new District Attorney, and sure enough, he managed to outsmart them by taping a confession Hope made about killing Stefano, and warning her that he knows what she did, leading to her finally confessing to him in person when he warned her he could reopen the investigation. When she asked him what it would take to keep him from using it against her, he told her she would need to reunite with him romantically and end things with Rafe, or the two of them, as well as Roman (Josh Charles), would be locked up for a long time because of the murder and cover-up.

Hope initially refused because of the past she and Aiden shared and knowing he was initially only with her because the DiMeras hired him to kill her. Aiden then lost it and insisted they were in love with one another and he wouldn't let her be with Rafe, making it obvious to her what she needs to do in order to protect herself and the two men who aided her.

Now, Rafe may get unexpected news from Hope that she has to once again call off their romance, and he will be devastated by it, especially since it seems to come completely out of the blue. When he tries to dig for answers though, Hope may confess to him the real reason she has to end things, and shockingly return to a romance with Aiden, and knowing that could have disastrous consequences for her, Rafe may decide to find whatever way he can to take Aiden down-and keep Hope safe for good.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
