Now just less than a month away from the start of its eighth and final season, Showtime's Dexter will be returning for what should ultimately bring its fans a solid resolution.

New photos from the set of its farewell installment have now come out. The first one features Deb (Jennifer Carpenter) leaning over a shrink wrapped Dex (Michael C. Hall) while the second picture shows the latter flying a kite with his son Harrison.

The third photo reveals a scene with Detective Quinn (Desmond Harrington). Sargeant Batista (David Zayas), Detective Miller (Dana L. Wilson) and Vince Masuka (C.S. Lee) paying their respects to some sort of mural.

The storyline will be kicking off six months after the Season 7 finale death of Captain LaGuerta (Lauren Velez). Dexter will still be attempting to balance his life as a father, brother and vigilante serial killer.

However, Deb (Jennifer Carpenter), who has seemingly hit rockbottom, will be having a tough time coping with the ramifications of LaGuerta's death.

Showtime's Dexter is set to make its return on Sunday, June 30 at 9/8 p.m. Central.  Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest details on America's favorite serial killer.  A promo teaser for Season 8 can be watched below.
