Accompanied by a guitar melody, Barker, the son of Blink-182's drummer Travis Barker, initiates the heartfelt song with his vocals with powerful lyrics.

"I can't get out of my bed your voice inside of head / Our favorite song on repeat / I'll try my best to forget all of the words that you said / Act like it's nothing to me."

In his lyrics, Barker expresses his difficulty in moving forward after the breakup, conveying a sense of longing for his ex-partner and acknowledging the deep emotional impact of their separation. He reflects on the intensity of his feelings, singing about the struggle to overcome the pain of the split.

Despite the challenges, he resolves to eventually heal and move on, acknowledging the significant role his ex-girlfriend played in his life, as he reminisced about the highs and lows of their relationship.

"Song comes out tonight guys," Barker announced on his Instagram Story in anticipation of the song's debut.

Subsequently, he posted an image showcasing the repeated inscription of the phrase 'Over You' on a wall, accompanied by the message, "9pm PT."
