An upcoming Valentine's Day compilation album, titled Sweetheart 2014features Vampire Weekend, Fiona Apple and other artists collaborating to give listeners something to play on the most romantic day of the year.

The album comes out on Feb. 4, but Vampire Weekend released its featured track, Time to Say Goodbye (Con Te Partiro), on Tuesday, Jan. 7. The song is a cover of the classic love song Con Te Partio, originally sung by Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli.

Who Were the Most Pirated Artists of 2013?

Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig was honored to cover Bocelli's great work of art.

"Con te Partirò is one of the greatest love songs of all time," he told Rolling Stone. "Its beauty transcends language. Thank you, Mr. Bocelli, for introducing us to this majestic gem."

The Vampire Weekend track removes most of the booming orchestra from Bocelli's original and replaces is with a reggae beat. Although there is still a violin presence, among the other instruments used in the original, the island beat is what stands supreme. Koenig also uses some of the songs extended lyrics.

Time to Say Goodbye tests Koenig's vocals for a range lower than what is heard in Modern Vampires of the City. He does quite well to imitate the tenor voice of Bocelli, but also mixes in his own brand of higher pitched vocals.
