New photos of the cast of Reign have been posted as they film the second season where they look a lot happier than their characters.

Queen Catherine Is Coming Back 'With A Vengeance'

Reign is a show that's filled with drama and aggression, but it seems that the actors have nothing but great respect for each other based on Twitter photos on showrunner Laurie McCarthy's page. One picture shows Adelaide Kane (Mary) and Megan Follows (Queen Catherine) as they give a nice little hug and smile for the camera. They're both dressed up in royal attire as the crew can be seen behind them.

The showrunner's page shows another picture of two actors sharing a genuine moment- Torrance Coombs (Bash) and Caitlin Stasey (Kenna) are holding onto each other as they have big smiles on their faces. Coombs stares down at his on-screen lover as Stasey has her eyes shut.

The Twitter page also posted the status of where they are in filming. As of Wednesday, they are on their third day of shooting the premiere episode based on an image that says "Day 3 of 8."

Kane recently told Digital Spy some moments that she would love to see take place in the show's future, which gives a hint that her character's husband could die.

"I would love to see her deal with the grief over Francis' death and go through her next marriage," she said. "I'd love to see her go through some of the political turmoil and opposition that she faced in Scotland shortly after she returned from France."

Reign Season 2 is expected to premiere on Thursday, October 2 at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
