Allyson Felix of the United States will be running in her specialty race, the Women's 200-Meter. The semi-finals of the event will take place on Tuesday at 3:25PM EST.

The 200M race is Allyson Felix's "bread and butter," Alessandro Miglio, a featured columnist on Bleacher Report, describes. After finishing 4th in the 100M race, Felix is expected to come on top during the 200M finals on August 8.

The sprinter finished first with 22.71 seconds during the qualifying rounds.

During the Olympic trails, Felix blew away competitors, Sanya Richards-Ross and Carmelita Jeter with her spectacular 21.69 seconds finish in the 200M dash.

The 26 year-old runner who currently holds 13 medals (9 of them gold) from the World Championship and Olympics is a favorite to win gold on Wednesday during the finals. Felix has never won an individual Olympic gold, so many are hoping this will be her first.

Felix reflected on her first win, silver in the 200M during the 2004 Athens Olympics. It took her a few weeks to fully acknowledge the reality of standing on the podium at the Olympics.

"You know, you go through the whole experience, and it's not until you get away from it that you can put everything into perspective and realize what a blessing the whole thing has been..." Felix said to Zap2It.

"It was just exciting," she continued. "Everything was new, the whole Olympic experience. I just have really great memories of everything: You know, walking in the opening ceremonies, the people that I met that are still friends to this day, and I just think there's nothing like that first time."
