FOX's new series Empire has yet to air but it has already gotten lots of attention just hours before its big debut as lead actress Taraji P. Henson has responded to rapper 50 Cent's diss against the show.

It all began when 50 Cent, who is the creator of Starz popular series Power, took to Instagram to accuse Empire of stealing his ideas and branding tactics.

He shared a post of a collage of two pictures featuring the lead character Lucious Lyon (played by Terrence Howard) of Empire and James "Ghost" St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) of Power.

To make it clear what he was attempting to prove in the photo, 50 cent added, "Empire VS. Power LADIES what's up you be the judge. #SMSAUDIO #FRIGO #POWERTV."

But he didn't end there. He went on to share a short video to tease the new season of Power.

He included the caption, "POWER Season 2 is unbelievably good trust me. I have the best writers and show runner. I like Terrence Howard and Taraji Henson. I don't like that They would copy the marking. #SMSAUDIO #FRIGO #POWERTV"

His posts have since been deleted (see them over at Madame Noire) but not before Henson caught wind of the posts and responded.

A fan asked what she thought about 50 Cent's statement.

Henson set the record straight and wrote Monday, "I pay attention to $'s NOT cents?" and added the peace sign emoji.

Just moments later she also responded to a fan who asked, "ouch! No time for small change?"

Henson tweeted, "IJS I couldn't even find the 'cent' sign!! #ByeB---- #Empire"

Empire premieres tonight (Jan. 7) on Fox at 9/8c. Take a look at the official trailer!
