Sally Kohn of Fox News has given a strong rebuke of vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan following his speech at the Republican National Convention 2012 on Wednesday.

Kohn basically labeled Ryan a flat out liar, saying his speech was "an apparent attempt to set the world record for the greatest number of blatant lies and misrepresentations slipped into a single political speech."

"On this measure, while it was Romney who ran the Olympics, Ryan earned the gold," Kohn wrote.

Fox News published a fact check of the Republican vice presidential nominee's speech, claiming that there were multiple inaccuracies in what Ryan said, and that various parts of it were misleading.

Not only Kohn, but also CNN, The Huffington Post and the Washington Post posted similar fact checking reports on his speech, each indicating how Ryan's speech was not entirely accurate.

Kohn did concede that Ryan came across as likable in his speech, but chose to highlight that the inaccuracies contained in what he said could cause problems for him and presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

However, Kohn was in a minority at Fox News to speak so harshly of Ryan, as many others at the network praised his speech on air after the event.

Kohn highlighted that Ryan had condemned President Obama for S&P's downgrade of U.S. debt, however the Fox News commentator suggested that it was Republicans in Congress who had contributed to the downgrade by threatening to refuse to raise the debt ceiling as Obama has called for.

Kohn rather crudely wrote: "The good news is that the Romney-Ryan campaign has likely created dozens of new jobs among the legions of additional fact checkers that media outlets are rushing to hire to sift through the mountain of cow dung that flowed from Ryan's mouth."
