Jay-Z Barclay Center Concert, Stuns Fans On Subway Ride To Final Show (WATCH VIDEO)
Despite his mega-wealth, rapper Jay-Z has proven that celebrities are just like the rest of us.
"Jigga Man" made an unexpected move; he took the mass transit to his final concert from Manhattan to Brooklyn on Saturday, Oct. 6.
Instead of riding the $300,000 Maybach the rapper usually takes to events, Jay-Z made his way to the last leg of his eight concert-run by catching the R subway train at Canal Street station in Manhattan. With two burly bodyguards in tow and to the delight of onlookers, Jay-Z took the train to Atlantic Avenue-Barclay Center train stop in Brooklyn.
The Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn native even took the time to chat and take a picture with a middle-aged woman who appeared to be amused by the attention he was getting by subway riders who recognized him.
Little known fact,: the rapper's name is reportedly inspired by the J and Z subway lines, the trains he took in the neighborhood where he grew up.
Beyonce' joined her husband on stage halfway through his performance for a surprise guest appearance.
The multi-award winning singer joined him on 3 songs, including "Crazy In Love" and "Diva." She must have impressed her hubby because the rapper spanked his leather-clad wife as she exited the stage.
Jay-Z will release a digital EP titled "Live in Brooklyn" on iTunes on Tuesday, Sept 8. The new release will feature eight songs and eight videos from his Barclays Center concert run.
"Live in Brooklyn" will be available for download for $9.99.
