After a disappointing 8-3 loss in Game 1 of the World Series, the Detroit Tigers will look to even up the score when they take on the San Francisco Giants in Game 2 on Thursday.  Tigers ace Justin Verlander was uncharacteristically knocked around for 5 runs in just four innings pitched while Barry Zito of the Giants pitched a solid five innings only surrendering  one run.

In Game 2, Detroit will send Doug Fister (10-10, 3.45 ERA) to the hill against Madison Bumgarner (16-11, 3.37 ERA).  While Fister has pitched extremely this postseason with a 1.35 ERA , Bumgarner has been a different story.  The starter is currently sporting a hefty 11.25 ERA and has allowed 10 runs in just eight innings pitched.  To top it off, the lefty has even given up three home runs.
