Jonathan Bennett Joins 'Awkward' For Final Season

The actress, who has portrayed mean girl Sadie Saxton on the MTV series since 2011, was surprised by her 29-year-old now fiance, former Honor Society and Jonas Brothers musician Alexander Noyes over the weekend when he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him, a moment Noyes had captured on film and posted to his Instagram page.

"I found my other half...and she said YES!!" he captioned the image, which shows him on bended knee in front of a shocked Tarlov, as a cheering crowd gathers in the background.

The 22-year-old soon followed up with a selfie of herself and Noyes on her own page, which shows her pretending to hide her smile with her left hand and ring clearly visible, as she stands next to her beaming and ecstatic fiance.

Tarlov's co-stars also quickly took to social media to congratulate her, with Jillian Rose Reed, who portrays Tamara on the hit show, gushing about the couple.

"My babes," she Tweeted alongside an official announcement from MTV about the news.

Ashley Rickards, who portrays Jenna Hamilton, took a funnier approach to the news on her own Twitter page.

"Me: @Mollytarlov got engaged and I'm eating soup! You: holy s--t wow! Me: yeah it's corn chowder. So good," she wrote.
