Grey's Anatomy's 11th season was an emotional roller coaster with many dips and twists.

The cast members definitely put a lot into their portrayals of their medical staff characters, but behind the scenes on set they were goofing around and sometimes it was by total accident if lines were forgotten or someone dropped a prop while filming a scene.

The 11th season of Grey's Anatomy will forever be remembered as the season where Dr. Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) was killed off, but the season can be watched over and over again now that it is available on DVD today, Aug. 18.

The DVD obviously contains all 24 episodes plus other goodies like deleted scenes and an extremely hilarious gag reel, which is teased below.

In the gag reel, it looks as though despite having some pretty intense material to portray, the cast found themselves laughing quite a bit on set.

Kevin McKidd, better known as Dr. Owen Hunt to viewers of the ABC medical drama, messed up during a scene with Chandra Wilson (Dr. Miranda Bailey) and Jesse Williams (Dr. Jackson Avery), which led to Wilson playfully hitting his shoulder as he turned around to start from the top of the scene again.

Other members of the cast flubbed their lines and got all sorts of tongue-tied. Many silly faces were made behind the scenes.

Plus, Dempsey is even in this footage! He looks a bit puzzled with a slight smirk forming on his lips as the ambulance in front of him won't start. He even flubbed a line in a big way, which made him make quite the amusing face after realizing what he said.

Grey's Anatomy returns to ABC on Sept. 24 at 8 p.m. ET for its season 12 premiere.
