After Kelli Giddish recently broke the news about her real life pregnancy being incorporated in season 17 of Law & Order: SVU she also teased the mystery about who the father could be.

Showrunner Teases New Romance For Olivia Benson

In the premiere the fact was out on the open but the father of the child is still unknown and Rollins hasn't spilled the beanson that one yet. Giddish revealed that fans would find out the identity of the man in due time. Meanwhile E!Online is hard at work trying to solve this mystery and recently listed possible candidates. Interestingly the first man on the list is Nick Amaro (Danny Pino) but Giddish herself suggested that he was an unlikely candidate. In a previous interview with the publication she had kind of ruled Amaro out of the running:

"What's going to be really fun is getting to see who the father is-I do know. I got to pick...I kind of did, yeah. I was like, it can't be Danny [Pino], that would mean he would have three baby mamas. He's got two kids from two different mamas!"

Here are the other candidates the entertainment website placed its bets on: Dominick Carisi (Peter Scanvino), Odafin Tutuola (Ice-T), Rafael Barba (Raul Esparza), Declan Murphy (Donal Logue), Nate Davis (Thomas Sadoski), and Chief Dodds (Peter Gallagher).

Of the lost Ice-T has actually addressed the possibility. After the premiere a fan actually tweeted at him to find out if he was the dad. "Hahahaha! No. Absolutely not," he replied.

Season 17 of Law & Order: SVU premiered on Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. (ET).
