Just as Blindspot's Jane Doe was starting to make the FBI her family, "Evil Handmade Instrument" pulled the rug right out from under her. From kissing Weller to meeting Oscar, the inked up amnesiac entered the winter hiatus with a whole new set of problems.

In a move that viewers have been anticipating since episode 5, Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) and Jane (Jaimie Alexander) used episode 10 to share their first kiss and turn their partnership into something a little less professional. As soon as they did, however, Jane's day spiraled out of control.

"Maybe for the first time since she came out of that bag, she felt like she was on stable ground," series creator Martin Gero told TV Line. "The second Oscar shows up, the floor falls out from under her feet. Those things make it emotionally interesting."

Not only is Oscar a font of information on Jane's true intentions, but he might have also had a romantic connection to Weller's new love interest. While it may seem link the NBC drama is setting up a love triangle, Gero says that is not the case.

"A triangle develops between Oscar, Weller and Jane - not even a love one, but suddenly Weller's not the guy that understands her the most," Gero told Entertainment Weekly. "There's somebody out there that knows her a lot better, but she doesn't know if she can trust him. She knows she can trust Weller. It's a balancing act that she has to go through."

Gero, however, didn't comment on whether or not that discord could eventually resolve into a love triangle. For now, it seems as if Weller and Jane will be able to give their feelings a fighting chance.
