Apollo Nida might have been sentenced to eight years in jail but there is something else that’s stopping his wife and star of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Phaedra Parks, move on with someone new.

Phaedra Parks On ‘Hardest Part’ Of Apollo Nida Being Away

While the couple has definitely experienced a huge falling out on and off of national television, Parks has confessed that she is not open to dating anyone else until her divorce with Nida is final.

It’s not clear what the status is on their split, or how long they have to go before it’s official, but rumors that she filed sparked after he pleaded guilty to serious fraud charges last year. Even though they are still husband and wife for now, she is still raising their two sons as a single mother. But she’s not quite ready to bring a new man into the family’s lives just yet.

Parks stopped by the NBC Experience Store and told E! News Monday and said her “first priority is obviously being a mom, and everything else takes a backseat to that…”She added that she and Nida are “still currently married…and so, you know, I am a Christian, and I don’t feel it’s appropriate to date until you’re legally divorced.”

But all hope is not lost for any guys possibly eyeing Parks.

“Once I divorce I will definitely consider dating, but at this point, my sons are my first priority…I think it would be irresponsible of me to bring men around my child while I’m still married, and [to let them be around] people that I don’t plan to get serious with.”

She went on to dish on living the life of a single mom.

“[It’s] tough because you’re the sole provider and you have all the responsibilities on your shoulders. Just knowing you don’t have a partner to rely on [is tough], but you know, you just have to pull up your boot straps and keep going.”
