Phaedra Parks of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta is slated to head to court today amid her husband, Apollo Nida’s legal woes.

Nida is serving his second sentence in prison after he pleaded guilty to several fraud charges back in 2014. But this isn’t his first rodeo with jail. He also served five years before getting released in 2009 for racketeering charges. While he tied the knot with Parks shortly after becoming a free man, the woman who also served time with him, Angela Stanton, said she knows for a fact that Parks was also involved in Nida’s legal trouble. She wrote a book called Lies Of A Real Housewife: Tell The Truth & Shame The Devil and accused Parks of being a “crooked attorney who knew how to commit crimes against the federal government.”

Parks then filed a defamation lawsuit against Stanton, who added that Parks “also knew how to get away.”

Stanton clapped back with a counterclaim that Parks has tried several times to get dismissed. Unfortunately for Parks, she has been unsuccessful so far. She is slated to appear in court for one more attempt to have the case tossed out Wednesday morning. If her request is not approved, trial for the counterclaim is set to begin Thursday in Atlanta.

Stanton said all was well between her, Nida and Parks until they got caught in their alleged scandal. She said that’s when Parks turned her and left her to serve time in prison while Parks remained free.
