It's Christmastime, which means fitting in some chill time to watch hours upon hours of Christmas movies with loved ones.

Throughout the years so many Christmas-themed movies have been made for the big screen as well as the small screen.

That got us thinking about which one is the ultimate Christmas movie to watch, especially now that it's December and Christmas will be here very soon. So we compiled a list of 16 of the best Christmas movies from comedies to animated creations spanning from 1938 to 2004. Trust us, it was difficult to narrow down the options to just 16, but we managed. You voted in Round 1 and Round 2, which cut our 16 picks down to just four options now.

Home Alone vs. Gremlins

Home Alone is definitely about family during the holiday season. You spend so much time together and get on each other's nerves that sometimes you wish they'd leave you alone. Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) got that wish since he got left home alone in his ritzy suburban neighborhood when his family jets to Paris. He gets into quite the pickle as he works to take out the burglars terrorizing his neighborhood, especially his home.

Gremlins is not as much of a Christmas movie since it's deemed a comedic horror film that happens to take place during the holiday season. It's hilarious and frightening since mischief arises when the Mogwai Gizmo (Howie Mandel) Billy (Zach Galligan) is gifted with spurs evil Mogwais that transform into Gremlins.

Both are comedic, but which is the better Christmas movie?
