It's Christmastime, which means fitting in some chill time to watch hours upon hours of Christmas movies with loved ones.

That got us thinking about which one is the ultimate Christmas movie to watch especially now since it is December and Christmas will be here very soon. So we compiled a list of 16 of the best Christmas movies from comedies to animated creations spanning from 1938 to 2004. Trust us, it was difficult to narrow down the options to just 16, but we managed.

Home Alone takes the win, beating out A Christmas Story in the final round by only two votes. It was a tight race for these movies, but Kevin McCallister's (Macaulay Culkin) wild journey fighting off burglars is just better than Ralphie's (Peter Billingsley) BB gun adventure.

This is the movie you should watch today, Christmas Eve, tomorrow, Christmas Day and whenever else you feel like reliving the festiveness and hilarity it brings.
