Could Donald Trump's campaigning and controversial political statements as a nominee for the GOP have some influence on the writing for season 4 of House of Cards?

Is This Going To Be The Last Chapter Of The Netflix Drama?

We speculate that it might, as not only does Trump fit the kind of dramatic mold of a show like House of Cards, but the kind of controversy that he invites makes it hard to not use him for material in a political drama. In fact, lately showrunner Beau Willimon has been quite critical of Trump via Twitter. Recently he has been posting about Trump's similarity to Putin as well:

In season 3, there was a character political character inspired by Putin, and something like that could also be repeated with Trump in this chapter. Additionally, the first teaser for season 4 of House of Cards was released during a GOP debate, which also seems mildly suggestive.

Frank And Claire To Officially Call It Off During His Campaign?

Bringing in a Trump-inspired character or having Frank emulate some traits of Trump would definitely make this chapter very intriguing.

Previously, a Venture Capital report speculated that the show might draw from aspects of the real elections.

Spacey, who is a good friend of the Clintons, has often brought up former president Bill Clinton when talking about the show, and even did a House of Cards parody, which featured Hillary, to wish Bill happy birthday last year.

In an interview with Gotham magazine, Spacey stated that Bill Clinton had told him that most of what goes on in the show is accurate.

Spacey told the publication that Bill Clinton had told him that loved House of Cards.

The actor, who is famous for his impressions, put on his Clinton voice and told the publication about Clinton's approval of the Netflix drama: "Kevin, 99 percent of what you do on that show is real. The 1 percent you get wrong is you could never get an education bill passed that fast."

Season 4 will air on March 4 on Neftlix.
