The detectives investigating the cold case concerning Eugenie Voisfontaine's murder may be getting much closer to getting the break they need on Killing Fields.

The series' newest episode, airing tonight, Feb. 2, will see Detective Aubrey St, Angelo sitting down with a convicted felon after receiving a tip, as the team renews their efforts to get into contact with Eugenie's ex-husband.

In a sneak peek below, Detective St. Angelo and Major Ronald Hebert, as well as Detective Leslie Bradford, all sit down to try and get in touch with Eugenie's ex once again-and after a phone call with a person close to him, they will begin to feel that they have something to be more suspicious about.

"He didn't know anything about her death at all until you guys contacted him recently," the detectives are told in the clip.

St. Angelo automatically begins to suspect that her ex knows more than he has let on to as a result.

"I think Eugenie's ex-husband is scared to sit down across the table from us and let us look into his eyes and see what we might see," he says.

And he won't be the only one thinking this way, as Hebert notes later on that it seems odd her ex-husband wouldn't have heard anything until now, especially since she was murdered nearly 20 years ago.

"This is his wife, ex-wife, we're talking about, not a stranger off the street," he says.
