'The Light Between Oceans' Trailer: A Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander Film [VIDEO]
The Light Between Oceans is an upcoming 2016 drama film written and directed by Derek Cianfrance and based on the novel of same name by M. L. Stedman. The film stars Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander and Rachel Weisz.
Synopsis: Tom Sherbourne (Michael Fassbender), a lighthouse keeper, and his wife Isabel (Alicia Vikander) are living off the coast of Western Australia. When they discover a baby girl who has washed up on a lifeboat, they decide to adopt her as their own child. But as the child grows older, they discover the consequences of passing off the child as their own, especially after they meet a woman (Rachel Weisz), who lost her baby daughter and husband at sea around the same time Tom and Isabel adopted their child.
The film is scheduled to be released by Touchstone Pictures on Sept. 2.
