Matt Barnes seems to believe that Derek Fisher isn’t telling the truth when it comes to his account of what happened between them.

Barnes shared a cryptic message just after Fisher released his first statement on an alleged brawl between him and Barnes.

Barnes started by sharing a photo of himself on a private jet with the caption, “Don’t make me get up..You almost made me spill my YAK on this $200 suit! ‘Pinky Voice.’"

But he got a little less subtle with his next post when he compared “comforting lies” and “unpleasant truths.” He also added the caption “Sounds good…”

His posts came just after Fisher pretty much shut down Barnes’ entire side of the story when it came to why Barnes attacked Fisher for getting too close to his estranged wife, Gloria Govan.

While Barnes has said that he and Fisher were good friends when they played on the Los Angeles Lakers team together, Fisher said in his Sports Illustrated essay that their relationship was nothing more than teammates for one season. He said they never hung out and neither did their children. He also pointed out that Govan and Barnes were separated when he began dating her. He and his then wife were also going through a divorce at that time.

As for the fight that claimed that Barnes and Fisher got physical all throughout Govan’s home after Barnes found out about their relationship, Fisher said it didn’t exist. He did say that Barnes got aggressive, but insisted that he didn’t retaliate.
