He will also be benched when the Grizzlies go head-to-head with the Utah Jazz Saturday. This will also cost him $64,000.

Matt Barnes Breaks Silence On Attacking Derek Fisher ‘We Were Good Friends At One Point’

Barnes made headlines earlier this year after he drove roughly 100 miles to go pay Fisher a visit. Barnes had just talked to his and Govan’s two sons, who revealed that Fisher was at their home with Govan. When Barnes arrived, he saw none other than Fisher and about ten other people hanging out in the backyard enjoying a bon fire. He didn’t waste time and reportedly fought Fisher from the back of the house to the front.

One insider said, “Barnes went crazy. He got in his car and went to the house and went after Fisher. Matt then drove down there to beat the [crap] out of him. Matt came after Derek, but he only had a few scratches. Derek’s not going to press charges; he’s going to let it go.”
Barnes also reportedly text a friend and bragged about attacking Fisher.

He wrote, “I kicked his a** from the back yard to the front room…”

He added that he didn’t show any mercy on his estranged wife either.

“I spit in her face,” he said of Govan.
