Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas recently made headlines after their marriage hit a rough patch. And while they tried to make things work on the show, Bailey’s latest update on their status is not necessarily a positive one.

She told radio show Reality Checked with Amy Phillips recently that while they “were definitely at a better place,” things have gone downhill since then.

“I will say that Peter and I are not in a great place right now.”

She went on to say she’s not sure what the future holds for them.

“I don’t know what’s gonna happen. I usually have all the answers for all the questions, but when it comes to my marriage, I just don’t know right now. I just know that it’s not good right now.”

Bailey and Thomas hit a rocky point last summer when a video of him feeling up another woman went hit the Internet and went viral. They attacked the issue head-on on the season opener of The Real Housewives of Atlanta; but it soon came out that they had more underlying issues— such as them pretty much living in two different states. Thomas takes care of his sports bar, Sports One, in Charlotte, N.C., while Bailey holds down the fort and works on her own businesses such as The Bailey Agency in Atlanta.

Bailey also mentioned that their marriage has never not been on the show. Avid viewers might remember that Bailey and Thomas were dating when she joined in season three. He proposed on the show and they tied the knot on the series as well.

“I don’t think that has helped us a lot. Maybe if we were married three years before we got on the show, that would’ve been better. I just have nothing to compare my marriage to outside of being on the show. Everything about our marriage has been difficult.”
