Double The Blacklist trouble, double the fun. Apparently, Mr. Raymond Reddington won't be the only mysterious character dishing out sage criminal wisdom on NBC this spring.

The peacock network is eyeing a Blacklist spinoff, and this time Tom's (Ryan Eggold) mentor will be the one leading the charge.

Following the success of NBC's Chicago triumvirate, Deadline reports that the powers that be are looking to do the same with the FBI's high-stakes renegades. Just as Red (James Spader) has guided Liz (Megan Boone) through her muddled past, X-Men's Famke Janssen will do the same for Tom.

Named Susan "Scottie" Halsted, Janssen's character is set to make her first appearance in episode 21, with episode 22 serving as a backdoor pilot. NBC has not decided whether or not they will actually go through with the spinoff, according to Deadline.

While the Major (Lance Henriksen) trained Tom and will reappear later this season, it is unknown if Tom's version of Red will be related to the spook recruiter.

Coming up on The Blacklist, Tom and Red will be ready to walk down the aisle in "Mr. Solomon." The return of the dreaded villain, however, will throw a wrench in their plans during a two-part episode (see a preview below).

"After Red learns that a tactical nuclear weapon is being targeted by thieves, it's a race against the clock as the task force struggles to stop them -- and prevent an imminent nuclear disaster," NBC teased. "Meanwhile, Tom and Liz make a decision that will change their relationship forever."

The second hour will see "a tragedy put a member of the team in grave danger" while the potentially remarried Mr. and Mrs. Keen "face an unexpected complication that could affect their baby's future."

Find out what the future holds for The Blacklist and it's potential spinoff when Red and Liz return to action on April 7.
