The Bachelor 2013 star Sean Lowe opened up about his "born-again virgin" title he has been dubbed in multiple reports and expressed his frustration of the frequent use of the term.

Lowe, 29, a Texas insurance agent, is a devout Christian who appeared on season 17 of ABC's hit reality show. The reality star, who currently appears on Dancing With The Stars 2013 and was nicknamed The Shirtless Bachelor among his fan base, has never been shy in sharing that he committed to a vow of celibacy after college.

"Frankly, it's no one's business, and it's just a personal matter for me," Lowe told The Hollywood Reporter in the April 12 issue.

Lowe proposed to Catherine Giudici, a Seattle resident, with a gorgeous Neil Lane sparkler in Thailand on the season finale of The Bachelor that aired on March 11. After she accepted his proposal, Giuidici said, "Today is the best day of my life."

The week the season finale aired, the couple revealed in an interview that they will wait until they get married to have sex.

"From my perspective, I've lived life kind of selfishly for a long time," he told the magazine. "Now, I'm going to try to live it the way I know to be right." Lowe is a conservative Christian and has been called a "born-again virgin."

In another interview Lowe said he was "shocked" that multiple reports kept bringing up his choice to not have sex until he got married, which was never discussed on The Bachelor.

"I'm shocked. I don't know why every tabloid feels the need to talk about it. I've never described myself that way," he told the Daily Beast . "It's a decision that I've made, but I don't think it needs to be discussed on the show. That's my personal opinion," he said then added, "for me, it's a non-story."

A wedding date has not been set for the couple who said it will be "soon" and that they will allow ABC to televise their wedding.
