MTV announced that it will renew a third season of Snooki & JWOWW in at their Upfront in NYC event on Thursday.

According to MTV.com, the Jersey Shore spinoff show has been a success for the network, landing no.1 for an original series during its second season.

Snooki & JWOWW season 3 will follow the engaged New Jersey residents as they "continue to navigate the radical changes that life keeps throwing at them," wrote MTV.com.  Snooki and JWoww are both engaged and set to wed and with the former now being a mother-of-one, viewers can expect lots of surprises with a growing baby.

When MTV aired Snooki's delivery of her son, Lorenzo, earlier in season 2, it garnered impressive ratings for the network.

Until the return of season 3, JWoww will be busy acting in a soap opera. She announced her first acting gig when she attended the All My Children and One To Live premiere event in New York City on Tuesday. She will appear on One Life To Live when the former television series debuts on the web on Hulu.com on April 29.

The reality star landed a recurring guest role and will play a bartender in the famed soap opera. JWoww will play a bartender named Nikki who can 'mix an Alabama Slammer as well as she can flirt with the customers,' according to TV Guide.

She described the experience for her first acting gig as "amazing."

My manager suggested I should give it a try since I want to get into acting," JWOWW said of her guest role on the show.

"I grew up watching most of them with my grandmother. It became our thing... Snuggling up on the couch after school with my grandma catching up on soaps."

Snooki has been a busy entrepreneur in addition to being a new mother. The reality star-turned-entrepreneur has been promoting the various products in her expanding business empire. Her website, snookishop.com offers beauty products including perfumes and nail, footwear, sunglasses, eyewear, jewelry, books, greeting cards, apparel, beverages and headphones and phones.
