It's official. Nokia is back. The company has recently made its debut in China through the successful release of Nokia P6. The smartphone is the brand's first smartphone to run on Android.

Nokia has been sold and remained under Microsoft since 2014. However, HMD has been able to acquire a license to use the brand for the next ten years starting in 2016. And the new handlers of the brand is not stopping there, especially after the successful launch of its first Android smartphone.

The new Android smartphone has received an overwhelming welcome from the Chinese smartphone users. It is said that all the stocks of the smartphone has been depleted in just one minute.

Now, HMD is said to launch another Android smartphone, the Nokia P1. Only this time, it will be launched and available globally and not only in China like the Nokia P6. Nokia P1 specs is also expected to rival the flagship smartphones of Samsung and Apple.

According to Phone Arena, there is still no official announcement from HMD regarding Nokia P1 release date or if it is even existing at all. However, recent online leaks suggest that the Nokia P1 release date may be sooner than expected. Nokia's first high-end Android smartphone is said to be released in February during the MWC 2017.

Nokia P1 specs include being powered by Qualcomm's newest chipset, the Snapdragon 835. This is also the same chipset that is expected to power new flagship smartphones like OnePlus 4 and Xiaomi Mi 6. Nokia P1 specs will also include 6 GB RAM with 256 GB internal memory storage.

The camera of Nokia P1 specs is also rumored to be 22.6 MP Carl Zeiss rear camera. While the smartphone's body is said to be IP 57 certified, which means that it will be both dust and water resistant.

Nokia P1 price ranges from $800 - $950 for the 128 GB and 256 GB variants, respectively.
