The "Red Dead Redemption 2" release date has seemingly been revealed on the latest leak. It seems like fans will have to wait a bit longer than expected before they could their hands on Rockstar Games' much-awaited sequel.

Poland-based gaming news website, CD-Action, first spotted the "Red Dead Redemption 2" release date on retail store Media Market. It was listed on the store's website that the game sequel is scheduled to be released on Oct. 3. It is presumed that the release listing is for the two supported platforms of the game: PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Unfortunately, the actual listing for "Red Dead Redemption 2" on Media Market has now been removed, according to Attack of the Fanboy. Due to the removal, fans are now beginning to doubt the accuracy of the claimed date on the website. There is no way to confirm whether it was real or not as Rockstar Games has yet to release any comments regarding the slip-up.

Interestingly enough, before the listing from the Polish retail store has surfaced, a United Kingdom-based website also released some details of the launch date. Attack of the Fanboy reported that the UK site mentioned that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will come out in the region on Sept. 26. The gap between the mentioned release dates is only a week apart. And the publication seems to think it could actually be legit.

No official word yet coming from Rockstar Games about the "Red Dead Redemption 2" release date purported leak. With that being said, fans are advised to take these listings with a tiny pinch of salt and consider it as placeholders for now.

Meanwhile, a lot of fans are now excited for "Red Dead Redemption 2" that some even listed their wish list for the features of the sequel. Games enthusiasts believe the next game installment should have multiple protagonists just like "Grand Theft Auto V," Enstarz reported.
