CW's The Vampire Diaries has garnered a slew of attention over its highly anticipated Season 5.

While there hasn't been a whole ton of spoilers popping up on the web as of late, several members of the cast have used the Internet to keep their fans up to date on what lies ahead.

On July 7, a jet-lagged Ian Somerhalder (Damon) took to Twitter to let the world know that he was about to begin working on the program's fifth season.

"Jet lag-its real. Fought the good fight but now succumbing To it-off to Vampire Diaries set tomorrow. Goodnight beautiful world..."

While the 34-year-old actor was clearly en route to the TVD set, co-star Paul Wesley (Stefan) seemingly won't be making the trip back to Atlanta just yet, as he's currently in the midst of filming a mystery flick.

"Sorry for the radio silence. Back to NYC today to finish up my film. Very excited to share news about it soon," he tweeted on July 7.

The two actors that play the Salvatore brothers aren't the only cast members of the popular TV series to post their status on the social networking site.

On July 3, Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy) also went on Twitter to address the upcoming season of Vampire Diaries.

"I am going to go study the new Vampire Diaries script!" He said.
